Menopause, and the almost decade leading up to it (perimenopause) have a bad rap. Yes, the physical and emotional experiences that are triggered by the decline in fertility and sex hormones is no walk in the park. No doubt, hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, pain, sleeplessness and dryness impact quality of life and vitality.
But, like the pain that accompanies birth and the discomfort that accompanies puberty, the challenges that accompany menopause are a precursor to a new and beautiful stage of life.
The Beginning
When my friend and business partner, Patty Pappas, and I were imagining our future product for women in menopause, we remembered what it was like to be pre-pubescent, strong, full of confidence and moxie. We wanted to be the best, shine our brightest and win. The onslaught of change that was puberty filled our bodies with new levels of hormones and it seemed our unabashed determination to have our lights be seen moved over to make room.
Now, on the other side of our fertility, we are re-experiencing that confidence and self-assurance. We are wondering why puberty brought such a strong desire to fit in, acquiesce, please and stay in our places; and we are happy to rediscover a drive to speak the truth, step up, consider our own needs and protect our interests.
Hello Again Suppositories
This is why we named our products Hello Again. We wanted to welcome back those girls we remembered and help others to do the same.
